I chose 3 No, I do not crave them.
I didn't like any of the puerh's I tried. Not a single one. But I am convinced that a beautiful and most lovable pu is out there somewhere. I am looking forward to meeting it some day. In fact, I have high hopes for the Pu Box.
Cold-brewed Yutaka Midori is in my bottle. Gorgeous!

Agreed. With matcha you get a good kick of caffeine for a number of reasons. The biggest of which is because you are ingesting the whole leaf. It doesn't matter if the caffeine was extracted or not, it's still getting into you. Also the shading matcha receives increases the caffeine content. (also not lethal unless you start eating HUGE amounts of the stuff.)olivierco wrote:Matcha is the answer.Salsero wrote:The conversation has taken a definite mobid turn. Yum, YM is the new super varietal! My vote is to cut and burn all the Yabukita plants in Japan and replace them with Yutaka Midori plants. I kind of get the idea though that they are cold sensitive, being grown only in the very southern tip of Japan, Kagoshima.
Tencha currently, thanx again, Pentox. 3 grams per 2 ounces of water. Much better longevity with the added leaf. 3 steeps so far.

Viewing the photo brings you to totally relaxed state to brew tea, at least for me.

Exciting news I noticed on the fly in the IM that Silver Needles may attend a NYC tea gathering one of these Saturdays at Michael's Tea Gallery. If you do, S-N, please make full report. That is the East Coast pinnacle of TeaDoom for me ... with the LA Tea Affair being the West Coast nec plus ultra .
I'd be pretty careful about that, with the recent recalls on baby bottles. First, the kind of water bottle pictured isn't designed to be refilled. A couple of times are probably ok, but long-term use is probably not a good idea (bacteria, etc). Second, if the water is too hot, it could result in the reaction that got all those baby bottles pulled from store shelves (and baby bottles are designed for multiple uses). Hot water will leech chemicals into the water that can have all kinds of nasty side-effects!Terrasi wrote:http://multipleinfusions.com/2008/09/quick-easy-tea/
Maybe I'm just misreading the article and/or being paranoid, but ... be careful!
