I highly recommend this vendor (Japanese Hand Craft). They were very small when I made my first purchase but the selection has expanded significantly. They've added more "wabi-sabi" type products; before it was mostly fancy painted porcelain. Now they have a nice balance. I have purchased both types of items from this site.orguz wrote:I don't have any japanese teaware, but I got this link when checking my Gmail.

Clicked on the Kazuo Nakata link and it displayed this beautiful sake cup, I'd use it for tea if I had one.
I assume Japanese teaware fans know this site or the potter. Would like to hear your comments regarding this sites products or even the potters.
Thanks,
I have purchased three Tokoname kyusu, one set of Hokujo Yohen teacups, a Bizen sake set, sushi dishes, dipping bowls, and chopsticks. I have been happy with all purchases, but I admit the Bizen took some getting used to. It is extremely functional and sake tastes great in it, but the Bizen pattern is very random and dynamic, which may not suit those who like more symetrical tea and sake ware.
On all orders, the shipping has been fast, the packaging excellent, the service courteous and responsive, and the products of high quality.
The only potter I am familiar with is Hokujo; I own seven Hokujo kyusu, one Hokujo gyokuro set, two sets of Hokujo cups, and a Hokujo matcha chawan. I guess it's obvious I like the products produced by this excellent craftsman/artisan. I think he achieves a good balance between rustic or wabi-sabi and attractiveness.
