Tea Tables?

by shogun89 » Sep 17th, '08, 15:19

Hi everyone,

As I aquire more and more tea ware and get more into Gongfu I think it is time to have a table dedicated to tea only, instead of the kitchen counter. So my question is what do you guys use for tea tables? And if possible please provide some pics because I am thinking aabout making one out of some precious wood and need some ideas.

Thanks for your time,

-Shogun

I actually have already asked for this tea table http://cgi.ebay.com/Chinese-Bamboo-Gong ... dZViewItem
for my birthday. I was more asking about like a large table, like 5 by 3 ft or so, gongfu table, more like a coffee table, I worded it wrong, my fault.

I have seen some larger tea tables like that, but nothing quite 5' x 3'. That would be huge. The largest I have seen are on the order of 3' x 1.5' These are primarily for two people and normally carved/polished out of a beautiful piece of burlwood.

There are bigger ones of the kind you're talking about, but I think the OP is just looking for a regular, low table, like a coffee table (i.e., without any built in drainage). Is that correct?
