In my cup this afternoon another of the Tao of Tea limited editions
Nepali Oolong
A little more roasted than I'd like and now I'm getting a very
sweet plum note. Different, but not really my style.
Sort of interesting though.

And Yutaka Midori number 4, Yakushima YM from Lupicia. Although not Asamushi, light steamed, this is likely the lightest steamed of the 4 sampled today. It is also the most astringent and lightest in most respects.
I look forward to side by side tasting tomorrow I hope.
Tastings can really get you caffinated.

How many of those did you buy? I'm always torn on the "special editions," but since they are small portions and awesome tins, I can usually be suckered into buying 4-5. Ha!
In my cup: Rishi's Tangerine Ginger herbal infusion. IMO it has too much schizandra, and licorice does not belong in this blend AT ALL. But, it's a good alternative I guess, for when I'm already all hopped up on caffeine.
Ummm birds of a feather ...GeekgirlUnveiled wrote:Victoria wrote:In my cup this afternoon another of the Tao of Tea limited editions![]()

I bought 4 - Fire Rings - Nepali Oolong - Bohea - Darjeeling Prithvi
and the oolong sampler tin trio and a couple of others TBA
Too funny--that's where I'm headed tmrw! Whole extended family is going for FIL's bday. It's a fun family tradition that we've done for several years. It's the last home game of the season so there's a free concert after the game.auggy wrote:I'm going to a baseball game tonight (free tickets and they are having fireworks which is really the only reason I am going)...
Don't read any teablogs. The last months of the year are always my busiest times both personally & professionally. Most days I'm doing good just to read TeaChat!
Oolong #40 w/bfast this morning. Crazy busy day & too tired to make any tea tonight. Have great weekend!

LMAO! I see they finally put frozen summit in the sampler set. I like that one, it's pretty good. And the "deluxe" is growing on me, I really liked it last time I had it. It's a bit lighter than the website indicates. Green dragon I picked up at Whole Foods and it was okay, but my office hot water is not hot enough for that tea, so I suspect it could be much better.Victoria wrote: Ummm birds of a feather ...

I more or less exist as an internet entity, so yes, I follow many teablogs. I do keep a personal journal, which often mentions, but isn't about, tea. The main obstacle: I don't own a camera of any sort. It would be no fun sans visual aids!
Far too little tea going on for me today thanks to all my errand running. Must remedy that now.

Har! Is the Frozen summit the one you shared with me before? If so I liked it a lot. I thought it was ice or frozen something??? I'm anxious to try the other two oolongs and the smaller tins are cute and easy to use up.GeekgirlUnveiled wrote:LMAO! I see they finally put frozen summit in the sampler set. lol, cracking up. No, I don't think I sent you the Frozen Summit. I sent you Ice oolong from S.A., can't remember which from ToT, Black Dragon I think, and maybe some "deluxe?" I should make a note of these things. LOL!
You bought pu at ToT? Let me know how that goes. I haven't been brave enough to try it again after I bought a really rough Haiwan that I think was just too young to drink. Then again, I haven't been too impressed with my own ability to select a drinkable puerh. Ha!

I read 3 Swedish tea blogs, Green Tea Review and Another Tea Blog. Occasionally something else. I have been writing about tea on my blog for almost a year, but it is mostly dedicated to books. Now I finally decided it was time to start a blog about tea only, so me and another tea-drinking university-student started www.texter-om-te.blogspot.com. "Texter om te" meaning "Texts about tea".
Do any Norwegian tea chatters know of Norwegian tea blogs?
