Sipping on some tea, it dawned on me: how do they get leaves to make cups of fruity, grassy, vegetal, spicy, oceany, tart, honey, earthy, flowery, citrusy, and every other possible flavor you can think of?
When you look at tinctures, it just tastes of what it is. Rose tinctures tastes like roses. Rooibos taste like rooibos. Mint tinctures tastes like mint and on and on it goes.
But with the tea leaf, the artists can make this organic crop turn into multicolored landscapes of flavor, flowing with nuance and soul.
All these myriad possibilities coming forth from nothing more than a single plant growing out of the ground.
Astounding isn't it!

I have often thought that about tea.bambooforest wrote:

I also have had that thought about soybeans too. I mean everything from tofu and milk to candles and 'plastic'.
