Organic Red Peach

Funny how things sometimes circle around. Here I am an Oolong girl posting in the Black Tea Forum quite regularly. Not only am I trying to generate a little more interest in various blacks, but the timing couldn't be better as I am rediscovering so of my favorite blacks along with some new favorites. The cooler weather begs for steamy cups of hot black teas for breakfast as well as coming in from the cold.

A favorite of mine is Silk Road Teas - Organic Red Peach

Sounding very much like a flavored black, this tea has no added flavoring, just naturally sweet fruit notes. The Chinese name is: Hong Tao Mao Feng

I first stumbled upon this tea from reading Gongfu Girl's Blog.

You can read her review here:

This tea is smooth and full, slightly malty, no bitterness, fruity with a cinnamon after taste. A beautiful tea.

I should get into tea blogs. Or maybe not -- I might wind up spending more money that way... :)
