I think you made some good choices. I personally like the white kyusu more than the red one and the yixing doesn't appeal to me, but I'm sure they will brew good tea. One of my favorite pots to brew high mountain oolongs is made of the same general type of clay.
As for cups, the main thing to think about is if you can pour the entire contents of your pots into them. If you are drinking alone I'd get a 12 oz pavina to accommodate your kyusu. If you drink with others then you might two get the 8oz ones. The best solution would to get the 2 oz pavinas and a fair cup like the one at the bottom of this page: http://www.shanshuiteas.com/product.php ... tegoryID=5.
If you're in Ontario, Toronto area there is a Japanese houseware store selling teaware too. They have glass cups that are similar to the bodum ones.
It's at the south/west corner of Hwy.7 & Leslie St in Richmond Hill inside a plaza.
Another teaware store at Hwy.7 and Kennedy S.E corner, inside the mall sells yixing pots.

I don't think the Pavina come in 8 oz, I'd go with smaller sizes and a fair cup.
Or pure white are always classic.
I like the shape of those white lotus right there at Rishi.

The only real differences between the fukugata and the kikumaru are color, sasame, and twenty bucks. Both are great pots, but I've always thought the fukugata was a perfect first pot. I'm sure you'll be very happy with it.canadiantea wrote:Thanks.
Yeah I looked at the white pot for $20 bucks more.... I hope I'm happy with the one I choose.

Re: Ordered my first teaware....
Mine are labeled "9 oz". In my personal style, I find them a bit large for some purposes and just about perfect for others.canadiantea wrote: Those who have the Bodum Pavina do you buy the 8oz size?
There is one more thing: the red one has a raised rim. That is the main reason I choose the white one, but the white color is a bonus for me too.Space Samurai wrote:The only real differences between the fukugata and the kikumaru are color, sasame, and twenty bucks. This might be of interest to you (or anyone else). Its the same pot as the Kikumaru but from a Japanese company, and you get more choices on color and sizes, and its cheaper.canadiantea wrote:just got the call from rishi that the fukugata is OOS.
Going to see about replacing with the Kikumaru

I haven't tried to order from this company yet, and I don't know anything about the shipping, but it could be worth looking into.

If price is a primary consideration, here is the cheapest thing I have seen.

Not the most elegant, but the price is great.
