Found a teaware site

by orguz » Nov 5th, '08, 19:22

I found this Taiwanese site. It's a Yahoo site, seems they have a nice selection of cups and pots. Has anyone ever used their yahoo account on a taiwanese site?

Seen it before, but never ordered anything from them. They have a huge selection, and the stuff looks decent and reasonably priced, but nothing has ever really stood out to me... all seems relatively standard.

Which pots do you like there? From what I see, those are exactly the kind of pots I would usually avoid.

A word about Yahoo Taiwan -- it's nearly impossible to buy anything unless you're in Taiwan, or have a way to wire money to a Taiwanese account without it costing you an arm and a leg.

Basically, they don't take credit cards. The payment is done via wire transfer, or COD. So, unless you're in Taiwan, it's not going to happen. Wiring money requires a big leap of faith. While I have never had a problem when I was in Taiwan buying stuff this way, it's not something I'd advocate if you're overseas, for the simple reason that wiring something costs a lot of money and renders the point moot.

There are one or two services online that will help you bid on Yahoo Taiwan auctions. You can try using them. They charge you a fee though, and sometimes the fee can be more than the cost of the item.
