16 oz IngenuiTea

by Teatime » Nov 14th, '05, 08:35

I've been using one level teaspoon of black or black flavored tea in the 16 oz IngenuiTea. Is this the correct amount?

The tea tastes very good but I want to be sure that I am getting the full essence of the leaves.

I use 2 tsp for black, 4 tsp for whites, and about 3 tsp for greens. hope that helps!

The general rule of thumb (as I practice it) for black tea is one slightly rounded teaspoon per six to eight ounces of water. If you fill your 16oz. IngenuiTEA to the brim, I'd use two slightly rounded teaspoons.

Thank you, Klemptor. I'll try it tonight. That should enhance the taste of my tea.

Thank you, I sure will! Did I mention that the flavored teas I received are some of the best I have ever smelled?

The aroma is unbelievable! I have family coming in this week from out of state and they are going to be my taste testers...

Flavored teas

by Teatime » Nov 14th, '05, 15:10

I agree! I use to drink a vanilla tea from Bigelow but it does not come close to Adagio's vanilla!!

The first time I open the small vanilla tin from Adagio's, I couldn't beleive the fragrance. It smelled wonderful! It also tastes much better that Bigelow!

I'm so happy that I found Adagio Teas!

Teatime - I just want to point out that I prefer to only use one teaspoon in my ingenuitea (depending on the tea, of course). I like my tea weaker, though, so YMMV! :)

Enjoy the wonderful benefits of tea and the ingenuiTea!

Hi Alicia! I've been using one level teaspoon which seems to be working very well. But I just wanted to be sure that I am using the right amount of tea.

It's so nice that we can share all these tea ideas!

I spent most of the afternoon having people smell the yummy teas!!
Several of my friends could not believe the aroma. I'm having a taste test tomorrow...LOL

Want to see which one's would work best for my tea room!!

And thanks for the tip on amount of loose tea per cup...1 teaspoon sounds perfect

Hi! I am cnsidering getting the Ingenuitea pot. Can anyone tell me if this pot gets hot to the touch? I need something that can be microwaved and not be hot.

Thanks!

It gets warm but not hot. I've never microwaved mine, though. But the handle is far enough removed from the body of the pot that it stays cool.

Depends on the microwave. My microwave, absolutey not, my mothers...I'd have to give it a go, the microwave in the chem lab break room, absolutely!
