I was looking for a good map of puerh country...which I did not find......and came across this. Kind of nice to be able to see the area and their specific teas.

Thanks for that post Puerking! I think it is important for one to know where the product comes from. I think it makes a tea that much more enjoyable when you know its story..where it comes from, etc. I certainly like to buy a lot of my produce when I cook from local farmers markets and think having the same type of closesness with your tea it important too.

There are lots of English maps of Yunnan you can find by using google picture search and typing in Yunnan map. Heres one I found:

Pu'er mostly comes from the southwest of Yunnan Simao, Xishuangbanna, Lincang, and of course there is that factory in Xiaguan/Dali (basically two names for one place) which is a little bit to the north. (I'm sure many people know these names. just typing them out for clarity)
Here is a great site about yunnan travel, they have links to some maps, not all great. But its hard to find good english language maps of Yunnan

Here is a good map of Simao in Chinese. you can see Simao 思茅 and Pu'er 普洱(Pu'er is part of Simao prefecture. I think they are renaming Simao Prefecture Pu'er prefecture to drum up more tourist dollars or something) cities near the bottom. to the left there is 临沧 lincang. you can see Wuliangshan (a pu'er mountain) 无量山 near the top in the middle.

yeah I have seen most of those....but thanks for posting them. I was hoping for something as specific as this green tea link has. if you click on the provence it gives more examples of teas from each area including a map of counties and some tea mountains. at some point perhaps there will be a puerh map that detailed.
