is there a difference in taste - porcelain vs glass cup?

I was thinking of investing in bodum pavina 2oz cups and was wondering if there will be a difference in taste compared to porcelain?
Thanks guys...

I didn't notice any difference: glass and porcelain are neutral for taste.

The differences would be greater around shape and heat retention I think. The bodum pavina's are fantastic tea cups for what that is worth.

glass and porcelain's glaze both are mainly silica(SiO2)-based quartz. So functions similar for tea tasting I'm guessing.

I've noticed that some teas turn out better in preheated porcelain cups. For those teas you do lose something with the double walled cups. Different shapes in cups also change things like the heat retention, the aroma, and so on. I'm still exploring this area, but I first noticed it after getting a tea that came out different from when the folks at the local Chinese tea shop brewed it up for me. In the end it really just means that you should keep more than one type of cup around, even for the same size, and try the different teas in the different cups :) With that said I do love the double-walled glass cups. I have the bodum ones as well as some generic rounder ones both bigger and smaller, particularly for anything that is more up-front.
