mix and match

by gingkoseto » Nov 23rd, '08, 17:22

Heehee, mixed, not exactly matched. I have just "assembled" a gongfu set. Now I can just get the tea, skip the sharing pitcher, grab the teacup and walk around the house

I like the way you've married the flowered saucer to the Daruma cup! They look great together. Sweet!

I got it from ebay private auction (not from a dealer). It came with a very touristic box and is not expensive at all. I am not good at judging yixing materials, but do have some doubt about the texture of this one. Didn't smell any nasty odor from the pot, so started to use it anyway :P The craftsmanship is pretty good. It pours well and doesn't have much leakage from lid or spout :D

They are in casual date only :P I wish I could find a permanent spouse for the cup :D
