Oh, I forgot to mention -- I ran into Salsero while out with my mom today. I almost introduced him to her as Salsero and not as his real name... Heh. He charmed Mom quite a bit. Gainesville can be a very small town sometimes. :)

In my cup this afternoon a new one -
2008 Da Yu Ling Oolong - young leaves.

This one is very good, I am pleased! It was from eBay.

It was too dark to see him, my mysterious one, but I sensed him with every fiber of my being. My hand reached and found heat; his pure molten black gold.

The night was filled with scent, deep earthy night hinting at bliss to come. My hands shook as I took him in. Ah God, what can I say? How can I convey the almost terrifying splendor?

He was almost too hot against my tongue, his essence filling my mouth, taking every part of me. The scent was there, like being with a lover on a field under the stars, a rough blanket laid across newly tilled earth. Quiet moans of appreciation, my hands clenched in the earth as he took me beyond the stars, his body filling my very soul.

Before he left, I begged him to name himself. I felt a drop of him against my lip and licked it off, my hands reaching to find him again. In the dark a slight whisper, "Pu."

I ran after him "Pu what?" I looked everywhere, trying to find my mysterious lover in the night but without success.

My cup is empty, my heart weeps. There are so many Pu's. Which was my lover of earthy dark?

At that thought I smile. Still a woman, though of many years, but not so many years that I cannot have those thoughts. There are many Pu's. So very many. I almost purr in anticipation. The nights can be long, but I will find him again, then again I will take him into my body and drink deeply.

God I hope this doesn't get me banned. Hugs, treazure
This is more likely to get you dates than to get you banned.

Well, instead of going out today and risk being trampled for a cabbage patch doll, I'm doing my shopping at home.

Oh, right, it's Black Friday. Somehow this fact escaped me before I noticed I had to wake up at 5am to go actually sell things to people who shop on this horror of days. If it weren't for the job I'd not have left bed for fear the concept of moving about would cause a rush of bargain crazed shopper to storm my front door with pitchforks and torches. Those aside I can't help but imagine a very quaint rush in a teashop with everyone wearing monocles, top hats, and going, "Rabble my good shop-keep, I do say rabble! Please pass the cream." before some other wildly less logical or cliche' proper images overtake this concept. I fear going into the local bargain shops to get the last few items for my teaware shelf as I'd likely be trampled or worse: driven by the mad disease that causes people to shop on Black Friday! Oh the horror! Now back to android maids who have secret double lives as defenders of humanity from some alien race or something. 'cha.

I choose "exotic" because (definition: introduced from another country : not native to the place where found: strikingly, excitingly, or mysteriously different or unusual) I know camellia sinensis will not grow with any zest in Canada and I will forever depend on "the kindness of strangers" to transport the leaves of this glorious plant to my country. I also find our favourite plant amazing in its ability to manifest in such a seemingly infinite array of flavours. Mysterious indeed.

Black Friday? Je ne sais pas quel c'est? Quelque rite étrange?

Treazure: naughty prose! I don't want you banned, I want you cloned!

(Mops brow) ok, in my cup today..... sencha chiran supreme and, later, Yunnan golden from Adagio. How I love that tea!

Happy weekend all.

It depends on the tea. But I once did taste a competition winning baochong (from Red Circle) that I could call bodacious. What I actually *did* say to the seller when I nearly fell off my chair after I tasted it I absolutely can NOT repeat here. (Really.)

*jealous, very jealous*

It is ashame that moments like that cannot be frozen in time or replicated over and over, that the tea you tasted could not be relished just as it was that day for weeks, months, years, heck decades. But tea is transitional, always changing.

A nice blend of home fired mugi/genmai cha to finish the TeaDay.

How did you know?

(I think asking if Mom was her sister scored a couple easy points.)
