So I finally got the first thrill of winning an eBay auction for a ridiculously low price for something I think is amazing
I just won
this gaiwan for $2.82!! The seller had some other neat stuff as well - yixing from Stephane, even - but this was the only one I was really interested in.
It was actually a total fluke - I wasn't planning on buying anything at all tonight (or for a while). I was looking at an item from DTH that I had bookmarked but the listing had ended ("with BuyItNow"). I clicked the category at the top of the page thinking that it was the category in the DTH store, but it was for the whole of eBay - this one was there for just a few cents and like 50 mins to go, so I bid
Sorry if it was someone here that I outbid - at least you know it didn't go to a noob ;D

Honestly the only gaiwan that I was/am really in the market for is a ~3.5oz stoneware one, or any thick 3.5 with nice glaze, but this was just too nice to pass up

I don't know how much I'll use this one, being 6oz, but I'm still ecstatic to be getting it
