Hm, that sounds like a lot teaspoon, we might to all ban together and double our tea intake for the next couple of months to be able to pull this on off.teaspoon wrote:Hmm... roughly... now wait, lemme check my math... that and that, carry the this... yep: fifty gajillion, umpteen trillion, two thousand, no hundred and six. I tried.jogrebe wrote:any idea how many teaspoons worth of used tea leaves we'll need to pull this off?
I tried to stop myself.
But I couldn't.
I just had to answer the question.
Assuming the average kiddie pool, which is about 5' in diameter, and assuming you fill it to 18", you would need 168,960 teaspoons of wet tea leaves.

You're not kidding about being an English major Teaspoon from how far you were off. Now that Yresim has cleared things up a bit I think it sounds a bit more practical as using the old approximation of 200 cups of tea per pound of tea and the 1 tsp of tea per cup that comes out (rounding up to the nearest pound) to only 845 pounds of tea and I'm sure most of use tea chatters go through around 5-10 pounds of tea a year so we might actually be able to pull it off in Summer of 2007 with only 100 people or so pitching in by saving all of their tea leaves till then.
Also with all of this talk about tea and measurements, Teaspoon (how many cups of tea do you think we could brew if we tossed you into some water (cooler water fit for white tea)?
