Trinitea problem

by bugaboo » Mar 6th, '06, 14:09

My brewed tea does not drop into the carafe. I read Lana's response about making sure the spring moves freely. It does. I do not know what else to try and tire of manually setting a timer and pouring it into the carafe myself. Anyone have any other suggestions as to what else to try? I have double-checked all parts, mechanisms, etc, but nothing works. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Send an email to info@adagio.com, they should be able to help you with your problem or replace the product if there is a manufacturing problem. :D

Bugaboo,

I was having the same probelm and figured out that the caraffe lid wasn't properly in place. My handle's a little loose, so I make sure it's upright and actually hold the lid down while I slide it into position on the hot plate.. I put the infuser basket in place after that. Once I started doing that, my problems have pretty much gone away.

Hope this helps.

I have made contact with Adagio customer service and hopefully the issue will soon be resolved. Thank you both for the suggestions offered...

P.S. I miss this apparatus so much. :( One sure gets used to making tea this way very quickly.

I took the lid off my pot- I don't have any problems at all with dribbling or spilling that way and don't have to worry about getting it in just right. The only time mine didn't work was when I got tea caught in the spring.
