Sent it back at my expense and they said I would receive a refurbished unit -- not very happy about that. Anyway they received my unit on 2/13/06 and I have not heard anything yet.Marlene wrote:Hi Sue! I'm sorry to hear about your trinitea. Have you heard anything back yet? If not, drop them a line at info@adagio.com . Be nice, and they'll probobly bend over backwards for you.Sue wrote:I was also one of the first to order one and now it doesn't work at all -- NO power -- nothing. Tried to live chat with these folks and the operators aren't on now. They had better replace it for that price. I also agree that it is an inconsistent gadget.

At least you are getting a working unit back. Things could be worse, you could have no tea.Sue wrote: Sent it back at my expense and they said I would receive a refurbished unit -- not very happy about that. Anyway they received my unit on 2/13/06 and I have not heard anything yet.
awww man...
hey sue,
sorry to hear that they are replacing your pot with a refurbished one. while i am glad it is getting replaced, i understand your fustration.
this seems like it is becoming a very common practice the last few years. the most flooring experience i have had was at Sears when returning a Craftsman tool that actually broke. they have a lifetime guarantee and it used to be that the broken tool simply needed to be presented at a store and a new one from the shelf was traded. the last time, we had a ratchet wrench break and a refurbished one was gotten out of the special case. we were severly disappointed as well. we inquired as to the reason why we were not given a new one and they said the policy had changed and this was more cost effective.

You can blame my ex-girlfriend's dad. The guy would not set foot in Sears without bringing a tool to have replaced!teamuse wrote:this seems like it is becoming a very common practice the last few years. the most flooring experience i have had was at Sears when returning a Craftsman tool that actually broke. they have a lifetime guarantee and it used to be that the broken tool simply needed to be presented at a store and a new one from the shelf was traded. the last time, we had a ratchet wrench break and a refurbished one was gotten out of the special case. we were severly disappointed as well. we inquired as to the reason why we were not given a new one and they said the policy had changed and this was more cost effective.
