Currently enjoying Chiran Supreme from O-Cha brewed in this newbie ...

Nice kyusu, Chip!
You know, I really wanted to like white monkey, I guess because it's such a pretty tea, but no matter how I brew it, it just tastes like slightly sweet water.
Oh well. I'm consoling myself with some Rou Gui from the Tea Gallery. Fantastic!

Hello all, I would like to learn how to grow and process my own tea in a greenhouse setting. I read that you can harvest tea from seed after 2-3 years. If it doesn't work out after several years, at least I will have had a fun hobby!!

If you have a Keurig K-cup machine, and get a chance to sample the Chinese green tea ... don't.
On the upside I did find a Canarino K-cup sample, I'll be having that soon.
Got a big Christmas package from my friend in The Netherlands today, with tea and teaware, yay!! Not to mention the European yummies.

At the risk of really misinterpreting what you just said...

Perhaps I misspoke myself. It was only a comment about great northern beans.
But, hey, peace and enlightenment are always good!

But what does スペース人 mean? Is it
spaceman?
I keep thinking of Dr. Spaceman from
30 Rock...

Lord only knows what I said. What I was trying to get Babel Fish to say was
- You are not alone in the universe.
--The Aliens

It seems to lose something in the translation ... both ways.

Heh, free gift with TeaBucks. But it is a good value to anyone who is looking for a craftsman quality kyusu.
Finished the TeaDay with Gyokuro from O-Cha and then Mugi/Genmai home fired and blended of course.
A great TeaDay.

My resolution is to expand my tasting repertoire to include new fruits vegetables beans and nuts.
Then I will be better equipped to interpret the subtle aromas of teas like Hou de's 2007 Ba Xian Dancong, whose many scents included a new (to me) citrus component and a delicate melon scent that was had no sweetness to it at all.
I started this morning with a Min-Pei Oolong and a lightly-roasted generic Wuyi Oolong. This afternoon brought an August 08 Xi Ping TKY.
