Tea kettle question

by Bubba_tea » Dec 30th, '08, 19:21

Hey all - do the kamjove water type kettles boil water and maintain, or just turn off? My electric kettle just turns off after boiling but my zoji maintains - I need something for the office and was thinking about that kamjove induction kettle...

I think that some models of the Kamjove do maintain temperature. You can read about them from links in this post - http://www.teachat.com/viewtopic.php?p=83609#83609[url]

Many of them work differently, mine specified auto control.

What happens in practice after you set the deired temperature, is that heats up to the desired temperature the switches off.

There is some kind of tolerance range, when the temperature drops below this it switches back on again and heats to the set temp again.

This model is for UK voltage, you need to check out the ones for US voltage to see which are auto.
Best wishes from Cheshire
