Happy New Year, everyone! (
Akemashite omedetou gozaimasu for the Japanese-speakers) I hope that 2009 brings everyone their heart's desire, be it world peace or... that $5,000 chawan you've had your eye on.
Currently enjoying some delicious Spiced Vanilla Chai that I received from Geekgirl. My husband loves it, too. Of course he didn't mind that I liberally added some whipped cream to the top of the chai! There goes one "resolution"
Tea-wise, I'm trying to get around to some tea that I ordered in the autumn. Right now I'm enjoying some
Xu Fu Long Ya from TeaSpring. I was surprised at the asparagus-like fragrance, but it's no hindrance at all - I love it. (Of course I'm a bit partial to vegetal flavours to begin with!)

Vegging out today for the most part. Snowing again.
Started the day with a particularly good Long Jing from TeaSpring. Followed that up with Gyokuro Kin after lunch.

Better late than never: Happy New Year!
We got the Christmas decorations put up. Tree out, outside lights down, nativity stored, etc. It was a beautiful day here on the west coast of Florida for opening up the house and doing a few chores.
I had several cups of chai throughout the day and made Irish Breakfast for my wife during the late morning. I then prepared a blueberry blend for her this afternoon.
We have a tradition of going out for New Years - so we're off soon. Don't know where yet but the current choices are Italian or Mongolian BBQ.

This may look like a taste of the bubbly ... but it's just a nice oolong
in my new Japanese mouth-blown tea bowl I bought with my Christmas TeaBucks.
It is frosty, smooth and beautiful.

Hmmm, you think you can waltz in here and throw the revered name Miyabi down on your first post on TeaChat and not call attention to yourself.

Welcome to TeaChat ... and TeaDay.
Just had a nice session of Sencha Premier from Adagio. I have noticed it is hard to mess this up, having forgotten about the second steep that was left to steep a few minutes more than once ... came out fine. Sweetie joined in while Gandalf just wanted to be held.

hehe thanks chip!
