Man that Oni guy is annoying. It's one thing to badger forum veterans (at least the accursed MochaWheels and JD only went that far), but picking on newbies? That's our job!

I just saw the thread I think Scruff is refferring to. A guy posts his first, clearly legitimate post, and the users attack, telling him the various ways he is wrong. :(

I think something needs to be done now before it gets worse.

Well... I may have been one of those users. The OP did violate the no-link rule though, and pretty much asked for the thread to become a place for unhappy customers to flame vendors. I don't see how Oni's post was anything but useless (and demeaning) snobbery, though.

Oni has received a friendly warning, but it was a warning nevertheless, so strike one. I just got in and will have to look around and see what I missed, unless someone would direct me more directly. Thanks.

The lighter oolongs such as those from the high mountain areas of Taiwan seem to benefit more from temperatures that are well below boiling and from teaware that releases heat quickly. When brewing these teas I still fill the Yixing all the way, but I use one that is very thin and light and that quickly releases the heat.
I disagree. Thin teaware is alright, but below boiling just does not work. You loose every thing except the mouth feel with colder water. I can see why one might do this with bad oolong, but why drink bad oolong?
:)

I am just noticing the possibility of an interesting exchange between edkrueger and our good friend Britt.

Chip, do a quick peak at Figgy and see if she reminds you of anyone.

I wondered about that... but I don't think it can be the same person. For one thing, Figgy - identified as Jennifer Teixeira via her Adagio profile - has made no fewer than 14 Adagio signature blends. That includes the Eris blend that I rather facetiously proposed

I think she's just really, REALLY into blends.

Signature Blend forum is all about shameless self promotion. Figgy just blew off my question there.

Well, IPs are not even close and they actually both posted together already as well, so, I do not think it is Coughtea.
