I just received a bunch of puerh samples, each in a zip lock type plastic bag.
Is it ok to store them in these bags until fully consumed, which will take a while, or should they be re-packaged in another type of package?

I would take them out. I use plain white envelopes preferreraly ones which don't smell like excessive glue. I find that the recycled ones smell the least. Just tape the back side, label, cut one of the ends and dump it in. Easy.

I have had no problem with keeping samples for a while in plastic bags but the suggestion to put it in paper may be a good one if you have a lot of samples. The gases that come off the plastic could in theory be a problem for long term storage. I have not kept any long enough to worry about it.

I'm afraid I went temporarily insane and added 23 samples to the seven I had.
Is this an unusually high number of samples for this group? I bet not.
I started off using zip locks but it got expensive, so i bought a box of those small brown paper baggies that the grocery stores use.
for around 20 or so dollars i bought a box of i think 250 paper bags, also easier to label with a pen to keep track of all those samples.
its starts out at 7... then 23 then before you know it you'll have hundreds and hundreds of samples =p.

I don't think storing them in plastic will hurt much if it's only for up to a few weeks or so. How long will you hold on to samples, anyway? A breathable paper envelope is still a better solution, I would think.
Besides, how many times do I have to say this- I don't like samples. I like meaty beaty big and bouncy bings.
