Nice! I always love FREE stuff
Unfortunately we don't have safeway around. Otherwise I would love to take the coupon, go to starbucks, and order the free black tea latte,
milk free
By sitting in peace and doing nothing,
You make your one day worth two days.

I tried the London Fog with soy milk today. It was surprisingly tasty. I liked the pillow shaped tea bag with the larger leaves in it, which seemed like a good upgrade from the usual tea bags.

The Starbucks in our hospital was wonderful when our grandson was in SICU. (He's been transfered to Shepherd's in Atlanta.) They gave me huge cups of boiling water for my teas and let me have all the sugar and half and half I wanted. I made the mistake of trying their pumpkin bread and have lusted over it since then. The let me have a squirt of flavors occasionally after I made my other huge mistake and bought a gingerbread latte. Their veni vidi vici cup or whatever it is called, takes 2 normal sized teabags.
I doubt that non-hospital Starbucks would have been as thoughtful, as my only other Starbucks experiences have been ghastly. You know how it is; the sneering tone, nose in the air and derision because you made the mistake of ordering a cup of black coffee, no whipped cream, flavors or other stuff.
Their tea drinks are pretty good if you are jonesing for a cuppa the good stuff and it is going to be a long time till you are home. If you don't want a lot of extra goop in your tea, ask for the tea plain.

My Starbucks experience and thoughts regarding tea...
Since the beginning of the year, they have started to become more tea-friendly. I admit to enjoying their Tazo bagged green teas--Zen, especially--if I want tea on the go and I have no tea with me. I also have become a fan of their green tea soy lattes, made with matcha. Tazo makes a matcha specifically for Starbucks, and I have to admit it is quite good. They add some melon syrup to take away the "bitterness" of the matcha, but I find it fine without the syrup. However, I just learned that Starbucks has discontinued the melon syrup.
They have also begun to sell vanilla rooibos, with a little bit of steamed milk on top, which isn't bad! It seems like good quality rooibos, too. (Funny note: I had to politely correct the barista on her pronounciation of rooibos. I also thought I'd share interesting facts about how rooibos isn't really tea, but she got a glazed look in her eyes...!)
Starbucks has also begun to sell tea cups, without handles. Although I applaud them for doing this, I don't think the designs are quite right. One of the types of cups looks more like something I would keep in my bathroom next to the toothbrushes. The other cup--small, white, and with a top/coaster, looks too much like a creamer cup.
Just sharing my two cents.

You can easily make your own latte at home. All you need is soy milk and a hand-held battery operated frother that you can purchase for under $10. See my avatar...that is my green tea soy latte I made at home.
