Hello from Vancouver.
I've been lurking these forums for a few years now so I've already benefitted much from your collective wisdom - discovered a few of my favourite teas here and I've long enjoyed the "Show off your teaware" thread. I finally decided to create an account and participate a little, though I'm not sure how much I have to add.
I'm pretty much obsessed with sencha, gyokuro, and greenish oolongs, but I find something to enjoy about most tea types. Recently I had my socks knocked off by an aged sheng which has inspired an interest in pu'erh, a new direction for me. I'm also very interested in pottery and teaware in general, though my collection is modest by TeaChat standards. Other than tea, I drink a lot of fresh mint tisane (grow my own), and I love coffee/espresso.
Anyway, nice to "meet" you all.

Hello
Hi, I'm new in this forum, and I consider myself a newbie in the Tea Culture as well. I'm so new and inexperienced that I don't even have a preference for a particular type of tea.
All I know is I like tea. And that is about as much knowledge I possess about this wonderful world.
I hope to rely on your erudition and lore.
And please excuse my poor knowledge of english.

The first cup moistens my lips and throat, the second cup breaks my loneliness, the third cup searches my barren entrail but to find therein some five thousand volumes of odd ideographs.
