I'd be surprised if there was much chlorine affecting your water after going through the boiling - that should remove most of it.. open the lid after it boils and smell. Hmm... You could have something living in the bowels of the machine. When you use a descaler, be sure to pump some through the spout and let it sit while the machine cleans.
