adagio's valentines tea steeping time?

by silvermage2000 » Jan 31st, '09, 18:52

I recently had a cup of adagio's valentines tea and steeped for 5 minutes but for some reason I't had a weird twang or bitter taste I am wondering if I oversteeped I't. What does everyone reccomend on how much time to steep this?

Should I cut down on my steeping time? Please help.

I use two teaspoons of leaf, boiling water, 12oz mug for 5 minutes, but add a splash of vanilla almond milk to it to bring out the flavors a little better. Most of the other flavored teas that I drink without adding milk get steeped for about 3 minutes. I would suggest to try 3 minutes, or if that is not to your liking, see if 4 minutes works better. If neither of those work well, add a splash of milk and/or a sprinkle of sugar.

Thank you for the reply and ifo. I think I will try again at three minutes and think about adding abit of milk. Hopefully that will help. And I won't get anymore twang. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I was wondering why I had that twang like that. So thanks for clearing things up.
