In winter my favorite tea is always oolong.

I don't know anything about super bowl :P I used to like a soccer a lot, but no longer watch it either. I won't bother to install cable TV to watch it, unless the world cup comes :D

Zuiko was up on my list as well.

OK, tried a Korean green that I received yesterday. Organic Gamnong Green. I do no have much info on it, need to find out. It was quite different from any other greens I have had. I need to try it a few more times and work out the brewing directions which I cannot find anywhere.

I received 4 greens and 2 oolongs and 2 matcha, plus several herbals thrown in including Kyul Myeong which is similar to barley but different. Ever hear of Hydrangea or Persimmon leaf herbals? Supposedly medicinal. Should make some interesting night "teas."

I also got a travel set made with white crackle glaze, now I have 5 of these travel sets ... and nowhere to travel. 8) A chawan, coasters ...

Super Bowl time, but need tea ...
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

... and don't forget that sneaky asamushi, not to mention gyokuro.

At the moment, enjoying a heavenly Ba Xian Dan Cong sample from Jing Tea. I haven't had Dan Cong in nearly a year ... what I have been missing! ... heady aroma, this featherweight packs quite a wollop ... a thrilling tea!

My favorite tea from January was loose 2007 Ya Bao Sheng. This crazy pu is all fat buds and its taste is more akin to a great white than to a pu. I'll post a pic if I get the time to shoot it. FWIW, both Uji Miyabe and Huo Shan Huang Ya tied for second place.

Started the morning with Tung Ting, drank TGY all day, and finished with Uji Miyabe and a DragonWell that a friend hand carried back from Hangzhou.

Great oolong year for me.

Jasmine oolong earlier today, but for THE GAME, no whimpy tea beverage will do.

Swill, preferably a tasty microbrew on tap.

New Belgium: Two Degrees Below.

Heck yeah, what a game, what a game, WhaT An aweSOME GaME!!

SIck with a sore throat the last week of January meant I drank and truly appreciated a lot of peppermint. Which I just had. ;)

Black won my vote for January with a tasty Earl grey cream I decided to try from a local coffee shop. It wasn't the greatest quality with quite a few stems but it was very good and different.

Superbowl, was that last weekend?
