February 2009 Tasting - Old Bush Dan Cong

by Victoria » Feb 8th, '09, 17:40

Ok, well as I said on the other post, no one seemed too excited about the few suggestions
that were thrown about, and since the month of February is marching on, I'll step up
and host the month.

Since I am fresh off my LA tasting at Tea Habitat, I decided I'd like to share with
you a tea from Imen's shop that I really enjoyed. It is a beautiful Da Wu Ye, called
Old Bush Dan Cong: '08 Da Wu Ye - Big Dark Leaf.

I would love to share it with you all and get your opinions too. I will also have a
look see into offering a companion tasting, but for now that will be TBA.

I hope you will enjoy the Da Wu Ye as much as I did.

Any takers, speak ye here:

Ok after checking around I think I would like to offer another Old Bush Dancong, this one from Hou De.
It has some good reviews and is a big leaf also. The dry leaves are very large and interesting.

I would like to order as soon as possible in order to actually get this out in February!!

So I encourage people to sign up! Since I want to purchase the tea right away, I will
have to limit the participation to 15.

I already have the Hou De Old Bush from a recent order, so I won't need that one if you end up sending it out. The leaves are definitely very interesting.

Same here. I actually like that one, although a glass gaiwan seems to be the easiest way to get it to come out right.
