Teaching teens about tea?

by horsencl » Feb 10th, '09, 20:23

I know it is last minute (as most things in my life seem to be,lol) but I am a Girl Scout leader and will be introducing my girls to the different types of tea, teawares, etc at our meeting tomorrow night. I was wondering if any of you knew of online resources (handouts would be great) that might be helpful? The girls range in age from 6th to 12th grade. Thanks!

Here's an introductory article I pieced together a few years back- just click the download link that says "Joel Tea Paper2.pdf"

http://www.sendspace.com/file/twccwp

If that link doesn't work, pm me your email and I'll get back to u.

Whats his face..

The guy in the tricorn hat with a name that translates to "Fencer-at-Night" (although he isn't even a fencer, YAR); he looks scarily like a younger version of my ex brother in law. Same cat-thats-got-the-cream look about him.

This Teachatter led a college introduction to tea (single night event) that was mentioned in an online tea journal article (Mar 08) I scanned past last month. The details escape me, because honestly I had no use for the info...

But you might find his suggestions useful.

I didn't know I was famous *wink*! Thanks Intuit, now my head will never fit through a door.

I wish I had caught this thread earlier, while my tea knowledge is limited, I would have loved to help if I could have.

I'm glad your Event went so well. The reaction on peoples faces really make an evening when trying new teas.
