Upton Tea Imports
So the thing that got me hooked onto tea was Upton Tea Imports. My dad has been ordering tea from them for years and I have been doing the same. I'm just surprised I never hear them mentioned on teachat. I was wondering if there was some reason for this? Maybe they are just a Massachusetts thing? Any thoughts on the subject?

Actually there has been a lot of discussion, but I can't seem to search out the posts either. (In case you looked)
Some people here do like them. But I think the majority feel they are better at blacks then oolongs.
Personally I have not had any oolong or black from there that impressed me, I find their freshness questionable. But since blacks are the least affected by that, I guess
some think it's ok.
If you like them that's great. As it has been said - drink what you like.

Any company that has that many teas for sale, cannot guarantee they are all fresh.
I personally moved on after too many problems with their green teas. If they are going to offer that many teas, I felt they should be showing harvest info (particularly year and flush) on their site. The comapany officer at the time said they were going to upgrade their site and would try to do it then. That was more than 3 years ago and the site still looks early internet ... and virtually no harvest info.
Personally, I felt I was being humored and not shown the appreciation of my 6-7 years of good business I gave them.
The good thing is, I moved on and could not be happier.

blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!
I'm very intrigued maybe since I really only buy blacks and oolongs from them is why I am still satisfied. I have to say there biggest appeal to me is that they have so many teas. My favorite part of tea is trying new teas and since they have lots to offer I can always find something new try. Granted I do buy tea from probably 10-20 other vendors as well I always have fun with Upton.
