As I'm sure you've deduced, my name is Garrett. I have been enthusiastic about tea for a few years now, and am looking to benefiting from your guys' wisdom and being a positive contributor to the group.
Below are just a few bullet points about me that will hopefully give you a snapshot of who I am. Thus far the only thing you know about me is that I love tea, and I'll try not to bore you with the rest.

-26 year old male (my name is enough to decipher gender, but you never know)
-College student at Cal State Fullerton majoring in Sociology
-Live in Costa Mesa, California (about 40 miles south of downtown L.A.)
-Common interests include sports, film, music, reading, etc.
-Some less common interests include wrist watches, beer (I generally have a deeper interest in all beverages compared to the average person), and I'd like to think that I'm a foodie in the making.
In terms of my preference of tea varieties, I find that I'm drawn to the lighter teas (Whites, Greens, Green Oolongs, etc.), but I'm sure that my course will change at some point.
The thing that has drawn me in to take a closer look at tea (beyond flavor, of course) is the the methodology and intricacies related to brewing. I find myself fascinated by the various methods and tools related to the art of brewing tea, and am eager to learn more as my skills develop.
Well, I hope I haven't shared too much. I'd just like to add that I am very thankful for the warm reception, and that I'm looking forward to sharing thoughts with all of you guys.
