hello everyone,
i'm still very much a newbie to tea, posted a couple of times here, have sampled many different teas, purchased a several teapots, (waiting for a glass teapot, can't wait to see those leaves unfurl!) i would love to have a rounded love for all teas, but so far my palate tells me no..., only whites for you. i feel the greens and the blacks are too heavy for my liking.. to the point of not feeling well after drinking, especially the black teas. anyone experience this? feedback welcome!
thanks
Hi and welcome! You may be brewing your blacks too long or with too much leaf.
Here is a discussion of the similar problem:

Welcome!
Victoria's right about the brewing time or amount maybe being a problem. Also, you could just be trying the wrong blacks for you. I've found that Ceylon tea seems lighter in flavor (in a good way) and I enjoy the smoothness of Keemun - both are good blacks for my morning tea when, for some reason or other, I can't deal with the stronger tastes of the other blacks I have. I'm sure there are other, gentler blacks, too.
(My glass teapot is my fav - so fun to watch the teas!)
