Greetings from Germany

Hi there!


My name is Daniel and as mentioned above I'm from Germany (currently living near Dresden/Saxony because of studying).
I'm 23 and just get starting with tea and all the science and art around it.

Green teas are my starting point and I haven't tested that much so there is wide room to go on.
But I hope to find some advice on other sorts of teas, too.I've tested an unspecific "formosa oolong finest" from a local teashop, taht was not really my taste. It tasted like the Darjeeling black tea and I don't like this neither ;)

I just bought a neat little gaiwan from Jing Tea Shop and some green and white tea and can't await till I get it :)

So that should be enough for a brief introduction of myself. Hope for some nice talking about tea and good advices.

Near Dresden - MMmmmmmn!

Can you tell us if there is much pottery / porcelain made there these days?

Perhaps you can acquire some interesting Teaware, and post some photos for us!

Welcome! Formosa Oolong is not the best oolong to try. I think you would like a green oolong, like Tie Guan Yin, Dong Ding, Baozhong, Ali Shan.
The noise comes from the other side of the mirror

that is what I thought after I had gathered some e information here :)
I even did not know that there is somewhat like green oolong ;)

If you think of the Meissner porcelain, yeah they're still producing stuff.
But it is more of the traditional so I don't like it that much, maybe if I'm getting older ;)
Ff you wanna see something, google "Meissner Porzellan" it's also available in English
