First off, i hope this is the right place for this!

The High Museum in Atlanta is showing a documentary about finding "the best handmade teas available" While i have not seen this, i think that some people here might be interested in seeing it!

Les Blank, a documentarist, and co-director Gina Leibrecht follow David Lee Hoffman, a tea expert into rural china. The full blurb on the movie is below. It's about 70 minutes and will be showing on March 7th at 7pm at the Rich Theater, which is connected to the High Museum. seems like it could be interesting? too bad i'll be out of the state for it D:

There's a clip on youtube here

and the film has it's own site here

A cup of tea is more than just a soothing beverage or a bracing tonic. Acclaimed documentarist Les Blank, together with co-director Gina Leibrecht, introduces viewers to the world of tea by following David Lee Hoffman, an internationally-renowned tea expert, as he travels some of the most remote regions of China in search of the best handmade teas available.

Hoffman, who during his youth spent four years with Tibetan monks in Nepal, is determined to help small Chinese farmers preserve their ancient craft and resist the pressure to mass produce. His efforts to champion organic growers and fair trade take him to a pastoral China rarely glimpsed by westerners. In the San Francisco Chronicle, critic David Wiegand called the film "An exquisite little documentary... both delightful and informative at every turn."
