First prize for being right goes to Vic. I didn't see it last night ... scientific nomenclature and all! I guess I was too bleary-eyed from all the pu.

Multi-tasker, definitely. I have a very short attention span.

I've had a horrible cold all week, I sound like a walrus, and can't taste my tea too well, but I'm having some anyways - some oolong from Teahome. Not bad, from what I can taste...

Sure enough, since I wasn't holding the lid on Betty, it fell on the floor and broke into pieces. Does anyone know of a source for lids only?
Oh no!! I sometimes take a cup and sit it on my glass pot if the lid is not handy.
If you have some small cups you might find that works out.
Yeah, I think I will have to do that. It broke pretty cleanly into 4 pieces but I don't know if there's a "tea-safe" glue out there! I am SO mad because I've only had the pot for a couple of weeks!
A good customer service update: I emailed Strand Tea, where I bought my Brown Betty, to see if they sold replacement lids. They emailed back almost immediately and told me that they had a spare lid in their "back room" and would send it to me free of charge. I think it's great that they were so quick to respond and even though it wasn't their fault, they are willing to send me a new lid for FREE!.

 wow. makes me want to order something from Strand.

Occasionally I just sit and enjoy the tea. But usually tea is along for the ride with whatever else I'm doing.

A tea-related injury this morning: I was making a cup of Irish Breakfast, but I dropped a glass jar right on top of the thick glass cup - b/c I was of course multi-tasking and putting away things I had out to fill the crock pot - putting a big gash in my pinky finger. Ah well, at least for now when I hold a teacup, my little finger sticks out.
Probably should have gotten a couple of stitches, but being in a hurry just bandaged it up after cleaning up all the glass, tea, counters, kitchen rugs, etc.

Maybe tea and multi-tasking isn't such a good idea after all. :?

I multitask mostly because that is what just generally happens. My attention is span is very short and I tend to fidget any ways, so doing one thing at a time rarely happens.

Currently in my cup is Late 80s Aged Oolong from the Oolong Box pass as a celebration of my birthday. Friday the 13th only makes it more entertaining of a day.

mostly i focus on the tea only because its new enough that i know i'd better! sometimes for longer steeps my mind wanders...

today at work i brewed the last of the sakura sencha that i had there and it wasn't quite enough so i threw in some extra leaf- sencha from rishi- and it was good!

chip- wow what a kyusu!!

tomorrow indy is scheduled to be in a st pattys parade but the forecast is for drizzle and well, cold. please cross fingers and paws (i ask that although i don't believe in fri the 13th!) that it is dry enough and warm enough for his parade. he loves it and because of his arthritis this might be his last.

I tend to multitask while drinking tea, but I do focus on the tea when I take a sip, so each sip becomes its own little vacation...

This morning I brought some newly arrived Russian Caravan to work to share with my tea buddy...it wasn't what we thought it was going to be, but it is awesome...wonderful smoky flavor and sweetening it made it oh-so-good!!!

This afternoon I enjoyed some yummy Yame Gyokuro. And this evening I'm sipping houjicha.

Have a great weekend all,
Dreamer

Great photos today Geek and Sal.

Thinking about this today ... I realized I simply cannot multi task. I am best focusing on one task and doing it well, a bit of a perfectionist. Hopefully balanced and not too extreme. But don't talk to me while I am brewing if you want the perfect cup!!!!!

I have enjoyed everyone's post as always. It is quite interesting reading new bits about everyone, peeling layers away.

Speaking of peeling layers away, DotKing, I hope your cut is not too serious!!! Can you still pour tea and sip w/o too much pain!?! :D

Finishing the day with some Kukicha. I have missed the floating stems in my brewing tea. :)

Hope your finger is okay, DotK! At least you're "proper" now ... when in doubt, pinkies out! (to quote SpongeBob SquarePants!)

Was the irish breakfast tea ok? It would would be a shame to go through all that and have to brew it again  Really though I hope your finger gets better fast. Its terrible getting cuts like that because if you move it much it breaks open again. You probably know that by now though

Im a multi tasker with tea just because I like to get online when I drink my tea, especially this site.

I didn't have a great teaday because I only drank the same guoyan nannuo pu erh which was good but thats all I had and for thoughs of you paying attention to my posts on teas then to answer your question. Yes this is my 3rd day using the same tea leaves from my pu erh 8) I really hope that chinese tale of it being unhealthy to drink tea steeped and left overnight isn't true or this might be might be my last post
