Both Mumbai and HK are cool right now...HK got 8"+ of rain in 24 hours and Mumbai got 4-5". It's been raining continuously for days! Hot aged sheng a couple days ago was perfect! And Indian people drink hot chai even when it's over 45 Centigrade

I've been here a week...today was the first time I've seen sunshine since getting here.

Long Men 龙门 Yiwu 易武 spring 2017 sheng sample from Cha Shifu. Probably my favourite of the Yiwu young teas I have tasted for a while. The aroma and taste is really great in my pu'er tea beginner's opinion.

Color me nuts, but I've just bought two more tongs of the 2013 XG T8653 and I'm 'celebrating' the purchase with another pot of that stuff. So far I've kept the cakes in one of my 60l makeshift pumidors (large, clear plastic boxes with humidifiers) and they emit a surprisingly sweet lovely smell of flowery honey with just a wee bit of that signature XG smoke that's more present in the cup. Can't help it but I really like that stuff (great power and throatiness) and I'm pretty sure that it and the other Xiaguan cakes, bricks and tuos in my stash will age a lot better than some of my fancy boutique cakes.

2014 bamboo sheng from Chawangshop--can't remember exactly what it's called, but I've been drinking it with mineral water from the Himalayas here in Mumbai. It appears to have aged some in the bag. Quite astringent and not much to write home about; it might be better down the line. I only bought a 50g bag or so to try back in 2015 (I think).

Drank a satisfying selection of teas over the past few days. Nothing too fancy, except for the Mu Yu, and all Bu Lang region, except for the Big Classic.

I got samples of all of EOTs 2017 cakes in the mail today. I immediately threw 7 grams of secret Forrest ancient I'm 120ml gaiwan. I am very impressed with the teas performance. Especially given that it has had zero time to get over it's jetlag. This tea really coats the mouth and slides down your throat. Those are very good Indicator s of high quality leaf. It feels very pure. Almost no bitterness. I imagine some of the my 2004 yan qing hao taste g similar to this when young.

2010 Chen Sheng Hao Yiwu. Mild and sweet flavour and a very nice aroma.
