Thanks, Seeker! I adore this piece; never seen anything like it before. The aroma can be best described as 'old.' My boyfriend has the snazzier camera, but all I had at present was my Blackberry. No matcha shot, though. This baby is far too prized and merrily sits within its chabako display.

I wonder if it is somewhat common not to use acquired vintage chawan for matcha/chanoyu?
