I had that same XI SHi zhuni from teamasters. The craftsmanship on mine was great...far better then these samples. It was bought feb 2011 though. But it suffered terrible thermal shock around the whole body and literally cracked around the whole body when I poured boiling water in it after it had been pre-warmed with 60c water. I noticed someone on his blog said the same thing. I wasn't impressed with his response either.
Needless to say that was the last time I used him or recommended teamastersblog. Not so much because of the product but the service and response I received.

Two of the five identical shuipings I bought recently. Rather handy. The left one has seen a bit of use, the right is new.

Knowing the price of these, I'm quite jealous! Do you know if they are hand made, mold made, or slip cast?MarshalN wrote:Two of the five identical shuipings I bought recently. Rather handy. The left one has seen a bit of use, the right is new.

Of course they're mold made with hand finishing.tingjunkie wrote:Knowing the price of these, I'm quite jealous! Re: Official/Different Yixing Show Off Topic!
I got this teapot in NYC. The clay is really nice, and it works really well with Lishan/Da Yu Ling. But as you can see, one thing is odd about it... There is a what seems to be a Cow on the bottom of it! I kind of like it and it actually looks cool when you put the tea in, and it kind of surrounds the cow. He looks like he is laying down in a field of grass with his head sticking up from it. Have you all seen anything like this before?

That's really neat. I'd love to see some pictures with the tea in it, if it will show in pictures.phoenixK wrote:I kind of like it and it actually looks cool when you put the tea in, and it kind of surrounds the cow. Re: Official/Different Yixing Show Off Topic!
The water buffalo is a very common theme on top of pots, but never seen one in the pot.
Kind of cool. Where in NYC did you find that???
