That's a very interesting shape. What type of tea are you planning to brew in it?

- Clay: Zisha
- Size: 175 ml
- Age: Modern
- Reasonably quick smooth pour, finger on the vent stops the flow.
- eBay
- High mountain oolongs
- Allows for full leaf expansion and seems to impart a slightly sweeter flavor.
This little pot is my favorite yixing. It is flatter than it appears in the pic and a more olive green. It fits perfectly in the hand. The lid is a nice fit. I love flat pots for really letting longer oolongs unfurl. Also the larger top opening makes it easy to clean out.

Here are some additional views and clickable. I wanted to show the maker's mark and the little mark under the handle too:

Look at the difference in the color between the shot of the chop and the other photos. I would imagine the color to be like the one showing the chop, yes?
Re: NEW/Official/Different Yixing Show Off Topic!
Thanks IPT.
Tead off - actually no, it is green and looks closer to the middle pic. The chop pic was taken without a flash in low incandescent light. I couldn't seem to color correct it. Very strange how tan/brown it looks.

Nice pot Victoria. It has a very feminine feel to it. Do you feed it? I imagine it would pick up some color pretty quickly.

- Clay type : Zisha?
- Size of pot: 100 ml
- What year/decade: 2000's
- Thin walled
-This is a decent pot, a bit of a dribbler actually, nonetheless I like its appearance, especially the engraving on the side of the boy playing with a bird. I use it for dark roasted TGY or other darker roasted oolongs, the shape of it lets the leaves expand well as long as its not over filled. I got the pot in a wonderful store called Treasure Green, in China town, Vancouver. Incidentally, the tea boat was from Yunnan Sourcing (I believe the only one that made it oversees in one piece!).

That's a really fun pot. I like it a lot. I'm always partial to pots that have children carved on them.
In China, children, when they would catch a bird, they'd tie a string to its tail so it could still be free to fly, but couldn't get away. That's what your carving is about.
How about showing the other side of the teapot? I'd be interested to see what is carved there.
What kind of tea will you brew in this one?

Cha Nacho - that is a great pot and thanks IPT for the background. Sweet theme. Love the teaboat too. I was gonna ask.
