I don't think it is. I would certainly not pour any water or tea over the bodhisattva. Just the perfect companion in my tea drinking sessions. :)

There are some really beautiful Zisha Guanyin Pusa out there in every price range. There are some small ones which are used as tea pets, but I personally never would.

After seeing Victoria's little dolls I dug out this one which some gave to me and the wife when we got married 6 years ago.

been using him right at the back of my tea space LOL

My daughter got me this Momiji doll for Christmas but I don't have a tray to put her on yet. She will be my little tea mascot when I do, though!
