My stash of ripe. My older ripe is now dwindled down to nothing so it looks like i need to place an order of pre-2000's non-dry shu pretty soon. A couple kilos should solve this issue.

I would not mind reviews of some of your shu...especially items like the 2005 HLH. I think the 2009 HLH is much better than the Guanzizai, but both are inferior to the Yongde.

05 HLH looks great but it turned out to be somewhat of a disappointment. Too light and thin for my taste. One positive thing about this cake it that it was loosely compressed so no tool was needed to break it up into individual leaf. Practically fell off the cake w/o being dusty/powdery. I preferred the 09 HLH to this cake, most likely due higher grade leaf.
I wasn't overly impressed by the Yongde but that's mostly due to the overwhelming fermentation funkiness still present. Ruined my taste buds for the whole day. Its improved a lot after airing it out a jar though. It has a nice spiciness.
The one i liked the most from YS is 2006 Mu Yi Fang. This one has a nice semi-aged sheng feel to it with a nice qi. I was thinking of buying a tong of this since it was so cheap but the following day after i decided i wanted more the last 6 tongs sold out.
1992 Tang Xiang was super sweet like sugarcane. Felt too light and delicate for my taste though. Bana has nice presentation with the fancy packaging but I wish they offered a discount for opting to just have the tea sent in normal bags. They sent me a few samples of their other ripe cakes and a tool so that's definitely a +1 for them.

It's interesting that the Yongde was so full of wo dui to you. I think I know what you mean, but I like the strength of taste (the mildness of shu is not quite to my taste) and I like the sharpness, anyways. It's also relatively sweet and potent, so I figure it will age to some benefit. In the end, it's still good Dayi for me...I don't see much new Dayi in your stash, do you not like that sort of shu or was it too expensive for what you want...

Yongde was smokey and taste like dirty water and left my mouth/throat dry the first few time. When i placed my order with YS i wanted to buy stuff i couldn't get from US vendors hence no Dayi. The price of it isn't much of a concern to me. I've have enough young shu to last me 6-8mo (2.5k) so I'm not in a hurry to buy any more. Some aged Menghai is next on my shopping list though.
