Late 80s - 8582 Raw

This is a nice tea to drink. The first 4 brew taste greenish woody with some old taste. But as it gets lighter, it becomes sweet. The aftertaste woody and sweetness is very very good.

Drank this 30+ years ripe Xiaguan tuocha, it was so smooth you don't need any effort to gulp it down, and you do not feel the liquid flowing down the throat. There is no word to coin the flavour, nibbana would be a good description of the feeling and flavour of this tea.

We drank 15+ cups and I gave up, the drink was still very strong and dark and the brew master told me this tea can be infused for 30 times.

The nefei is written in Tibetan characters. The tea leaves are selected by the Tibetan monks in Yunan and Xiaguan will make these batch for the chief monks.

Started on the 2007 Xi Zhi Hao (xi zi, whatever) 7542 this evening. Through four infusions, it was extremely nice. I am curious if it will continue to deliver tomorrow evening, given the poor results of a popular reviewer....

I like that tea more than the 8582 or the LongFeng, that's for sure...

It's just a little thin in flavor. I do find it to be pretty durable, for me...

I always feel new tea from Bulang is too much (too strong) for me. But being strong is not a bad thing. This tea is a Zhang Jia San Dui (in short, Zhang San) product. This place is a rising star in recent years. Rumors are, many high quality "lao ban zhang" products are actually from Zhang Jia San Dui. So if a tea is good, and is labeled as Zhang Jia San Dui (instead of Ban Zhang), then probably it's not a bad deal.

They were saying among their series in the year. There are 3 products which they sell at minimal profit. And the one above, brick and tuo are good deal. They said they want to share good tea with people at affordable (but still not cheap to my standard) price. That said, their other products are much more expensive for a new tea. Maybe that is what old tree high mountain single estate pu price is moving forward.

IIRC should be from Bulang. I cannot remember exactly, but will ask them next time.

90s - 7581 Raw Yes, it is first time I see and taste 7581 that is raw. 7581 is usually ripe. This is just imported in from China. It is very dried stored in China. The paper of the brick is crispy dry. Taste wise is quite ok, giving good flow of saliva. But it has a kind of taste that is foreign to me.

2009 Dayi Ripe Ball A new product in year 2009. Good quality ripe. Nice box. Ball shape pu. The shop is taking preorder for this tea as they managed to find 3 cartons from China at quite an attractive price. It is even cheaper than the price I bought last year
