Great pic Cory!
I traded a chawan for a 30D.... now if I could only figure out how to use it!
Best.

Hooray! A new chawan has arrived, gone through its preparation paces, and even enjoyed its first serving of matcha...

Though not "swirly," this chawan sort of reminds me of Starry Night...

What really got me was the explosion of stars on the inside...

The matcha didn't have a chance....!

Wow, that's a great chawan, Drax. This is one of Seigan's newer styles, right? This has got to be the most beautiful of those he has made so far!
Do I spy Kaoru Supreme? Yummy. I really need to buy some matcha again...

Thanks! I don't know if it's a newer style, but it is indeed a Seigan. This chawan was up on Magokorodou's auctions, and the inside is really what caught my eye.Stentor wrote:Wow, that's a great chawan, Drax. This is one of Seigan's newer styles, right? Mago currently has another similar chawan up for sale, it has more texture on the outside, but the prominence of the 'stars' is much less inside and outside.
And yes, that is indeed Kaoru supreme! It is really great stuff. I'm about half-way through it... got to finish it "fast" ... if not to move onto the next stuff!

Very nice Cory!
I just love that little bit of left over foam in the chadamari!

Okay, okay, one last new chawan. This one is the last one that I'm planning on getting anytime soon as I'm "done" upgrading my current chawan. Of course, that's what I say now.
This chawan is an 'akaraku' or a Raku style in red. I love the contrast of the red/pink with the green. It's been well-loved, but only $10, not too bad!

Yet again, the matcha had no chance...!

Very nice on this (suddenly) rainy day!
