This is my gaiwan and cup I bought from pure puerh. I have two more cups and a porcelain pitcher, but i prefer to use the glass one. the gaiwan is about 170ml in size, to the rim, but i only fill it just below the lid, which comes out to be 150ml without the tea, and 120 with the tea. Just enough for two of those cups. The color of the cups is light green, which really enhances the green teas.

Hi All,

Here is a mug shot (get it? "mug" shot...oops, is this a no-pun zone?)
of my newest drinking vessel:
Image

Here is a picture of the whole thing:
Image

I had this made at http://www.walgreens.com. It is so much fun...you download your pictures (up to 15 for an 11-oz mug like this) and you pick your border color and decide if you want a title at top or bottom or not at all. Punch the button and it arranges the pictures. One "annoying issue" is that you don't have the ability to arrange or size the pictures yourself...you can hit a reshuffle option to see another version. This is the third mug I've made...two others with people pics on them as gifts and it too a looooonnng time to get the others the way I wanted them (e.g. mother-in-law's picture comes out way too big  , or beautiful daughter's picture comes out way too little) .

They are $13.99 (and shipping) but thru midnight tonight (central time) there is a coupon code (SUPER33) that gets you 33% off of an order over $15. I just had 8 mugs made (7 with pics from our recent vacation and this tea mug for myself) so the coupon code helped me out a bit.

This mug should make tea-in-a-boring-meeting-at-work time much nicer!!!

Happy Sateaday,
Dreamer

Woozl's Wife's first fire.
Cory, your sketches of classic forms were very helpful.
Someday we will send YOU gift Chawan. :)
Or perhaps her own artisans section.

Great looking teaware - woozl - or should I say woozl's wife.

Which begs the question - - - - -
Chip was striding the boards of these forums for a mighty long time before Mrs. Chip began to grace us with a more delicate presence - - - - -
Can we look forward to a "WoW" factor soon?

Ok here is my new baby - a Frevd teapot from England. And I have to say I have been wanting this for well over a year. I am pretty good at scouting out things on the internet, but this pot eluded me for months and months. It seems to not be selling anywhere in the USA. When I finally did find it, I saw it on a website in France, but they don't ship to the USA!!!! Good grief??? A host of other countries, but not the USA?? Still being persistent and while in the process of making possible arrangements to get it, I realized it was the larger version. Although I loved the design, I really don't need a huge pot. (Thank you Olivier for your offer of assistance.)

More searching led me to England and the actual Frevd Store. And guess what? They do ship to USA. Yay!! But UMMMMMM ... guess what the shipping charge is? 100 British Pounds or about $168 USA dollars. That is soooo crazy. So I this time I enlist the aid of Herb Master. Mailing to his home was about $8.20, then he sent it on to me. And now finally - I have my cute pot!! And Herb Master will begin his High Mountain Oolong tutelage. Thanks again Herb Master. May your love for Oolongs increase to the measure of your generosity.
