Mine arrived today!
I hope it's ok to post a couple of pics. If it's too many, please let me know.
Behold, Hagi SO12-#7
The unboxing...
Drumroll...
Taadaaaa...
The shape is beautiful and feels great in your hands. Also, the cup is quite a bit heavier than I expected, which is a pleasant surprise to me.
Inside. Just "bubbles", not "holes" here (except one tiny "crater")
So now, it's taking a bath.

EDIT since Stentor posted while I was.
Kewl IPT and Stentor ...
I don't know if I can get as close up as IPT's with this old P&S, but gonna try I guess.
#9 has them inside and out, but mostly concentrated in the interior bottom. They look like they were bubbles that "popped" and then filled in with translucent glaze. I have to get a magnifyer out and check it out.
Aging will be a curious thing.
Hmm, I usually rinse with very hot water after using, then pat dry and set out in open air. This one might call for turning upside down ...
Going to use it shortly.

Well, there is a guy in Russia who would like to divert yours to him ... and his birthday is coincidentally on the 27th of October!

Thanks. That's what I was trying to accomplish. I'm glad you like it.

Maiden voyage with Shuppin sencha from Maiko.
Is it just me, or does this look like it has been used constantly for 20 years? Love it ...

$deity, this glaze is breathtaking.

I have mostly bubbles and a few legit holes... I don't mind them, though.
The colour also changes depending on lighting... in my kitchen, it looks a great deal more purple than elsewhere... I'll have to look at it under a full-spectrum and sunlight and things.
