Fabulous as usual. Your mastery of so many mediums is impressive. I look forward to your updates. I really enjoy the last one. The brown mountains are equisite.

i must say i always get a little excited when i see your thread pop up with new entrées. i enjoy clicking threw the pitchers as i always seem to have a better day after looking at them.
with your last post i have a few questions about mounting brought on by the mountain scene. would it be possable to mount the scroll to a small border of silk of the flashy type oh 1.5 inch or so and then sow it to a woven grass or bamboo or reed mat of appropriate size. i think this would do wonders for borders and texture.
and i have a question about your immortal ..... does he have earrings in both ears? just wondering i might have seen him around.

Thanks for the kind words, friends. I plan to mount that scroll externally, rather than covered by the silk as usual. Usually, the silk covers the edge of the rice paper, often with a border all around, sometimes thicker on top and bottom. For this one, I will tear the edges, rather than cut, mount the scroll onto the plain back of silk paper and then mount that paper itself in silk, overlapping as usual. This means that you'll see the edges of the scroll.
He does indeed have earrings, jade ones in fact and green eyes as well.

I love your scrolls, very inspiring. I was lucky enough to go to the Indianapolis Museum of Art and they had an enormous collection of beautiful scrolls. Yours remind of some them. Continue your amazing work!
