Here are some shots of my new Sansai Tebineri. I love this cup, very generous size. Nice for wrapping your hands around on a chilly morning. After just one day of use, already seeing changes!
Here is a close up of the wonderful purply dripping of glaze.

Yes, it holds the heat from my sencha and lets it out with pleasing and soothing slowness (reading your post just after I found myself reaching for my yunomi for a sip and not wanting to put it down right away, because it was so cozy).

Awesome, I love the purply swirliness!
This is my favorite time of the year just for that reason -- cold outside and curling up with a hot cup of tea.

Beauty Laura!
I am known to soak the Hagi a few minutes prior to using which then exudes nice moist warmth. I bet this would be therapeutic!

Noutomi Susumi's daughter Naoko and 3rd generation of Choun/kiln.
Really nice guinomi!

Also Naoko ... cool having 3 gens to observe and compare!
2 Yunomi, nice size, not too big.
A new seal to look for!
With the Guinomi ... which is also not toooo small.

Great Pieces Chip, and you definitely have reaffirmed I need to get more Choun pieces, that and more Kashun, and basically more from just about any artist other than Deishi and Seigan.

Very beautiful pieces, Chip! Maybe it's the lighting, but I really like the dark interior of that one cup that gives way to the glorious blue sun in the center.
Neat exteriors, too.

Thanks!
Looking at the yunomi-s next to a set of Noutomi Susumi yunomi-s, she is a chip off the old block!
Drax, the inside is very dark, like a night sky, and the center like the full moon shimmering behind a veil of thin clouds.
Adam, there is still plenty of room for Deishi and Seigan as they round out the equation.
Seigan and Deishi are used everyday around here. The Choun and Kashun come out to play only once a week or so.

Ditto, Seigan and Deishi are my "everyday-ware." There's something very special about using such beautiful pieces in such a routine way.

My big blue and it's sansai cousin have to split up limited duties because I mostly infuse quantities that are too small for them. They come out for some morning sencha and occasional midday white teas, but don't get the bulk of the small-infusion sessions. They need some younger/smaller siblings.
