Mmm I love that tea! So flavorful I always forget it's an organic! Unfortunately, I have been holding off on Sencha in anticipation for my first Shincha. Really missing it!
It is one of my favourites as well -- great taste, stunning colour, and wonderfully cheap.
Best wishes,
sherubtse

trying some tea that I got from as a sample from den's tea, fukamushi sencha maromi. Not very impressed seems to have a string anise flavor that I don't quite get. Also a bit oversteamed for my tastes... appreciate the sample none the less.

I began the weekend with Den's Gyokuro Sumei. I've been finding this gyo too bitter so I upped the quantity, lowered the time and voila! delicious gyo.
I'm going to try the same technique with the remaining OTTI Sencha.

I had the Kinari Shincha from Maiko-cha a while ago - just got it along with the 88 nights from Kaburagien....
Anyways, the Kinari had some unique flavor attributes IMHO - things like butter and various tropical fruit, like mango and pineapple, and then some citrus fruit, like lemons. It was different from other shinchas I've had - I'll be sure and take notes with each tea session. Overall, not bad, but I'm waiting to see how the other shincha turn out.

Organic Kagoshima Shincha Magokoro from YC
Its very nice. Very strong actually. Going to take me a little while longer to get through this bag as I'm using nearly half as much tea as usual.
Is shincha usually stronger? I don't know as this is my first bag of shincha.

Norbu Wu Niu Zao, Zhejiang tea, looks a bit like Long Jing with a similar flavor profile. Very nice, brewing with the Yong Cheol pot and cup and drinking from my Seigan Oribe Hagi, green all the way.
