Re: Official what GREEN are you currently drinking?
Seven Cups Tai Ping Hou Kui (2011) brewed in a tall narrow houhin with the lid off. The shape of the pot enhanced the flavor as compared to other brewing vessels that I've tried it with. Now I'm off to do further experiments with the Sencha OTTI teas.

Just had an AMAZING session of O-Cha's YM Shincha. 4gs leaf, 90-100ml water at 160f for 1 min. = the best cup of tea I've ever had?!
Also, it re-steeps like a champion.

Second to last bowl of Toyo Mukashi from O-cha. which is good because I am not getting through my matcha fast enough.
Re: Official what GREEN are you currently drinking?
I had gotten so caught up in the OTTI I forgot I still have quite a bit of Sencha that needs to be finished off before my Shincha arrives.
Nichi Getsu from ippodo, brewed

I'm working on a 6th infusion of O-Cha's Yutaka Midori from the 2012 Shincha harvest - pretty darn good!

What did you think of the Toyo? I have been looking at it, as well as the Kiku Mukashi.AdamMY wrote:Second to last bowl of Toyo Mukashi from O-cha. which is good because I am not getting through my matcha fast enough.

Ippodo's Kanro for me right now.

Re: Official what GREEN are you currently drinking?
It took me awhile to get used to this one, it is not bad just different than what I am used to. I have found it preforms best when the water is boiled in cast iron.sherubtse wrote:What did you think of the Toyo? 88 nights Yame shincha with new favorite teaware piece
This one sure lets me enjoy watching how tea is expanding during brewing.

Dens Gyokuro Sumei to start my Sunday off. Good but not great, at least not compared to upscale O-Cha gyos. I'll finish the package just in time to begin drinking 2012 shincha, which is waiting for me at the post office along with another package of Otsuusan.
