This time I used a much lower temp (#1: 145F for +-90 secs. #2: 160F for 30 sec and #3 155F for 45 sec.)
The lower temps really balanced the brew out nicely. The first try with this tea was with a higher initial temperature. This time it brought out a dense intense core of flavor that delivered a pretty long lingering aroma. A bit on the bitter side, but a nice bitter. Maybe this tea stands up well to some aging? I rarely drink sencha on a regular basis, but I liked this tea enough to buy a 100g bag.
It is maybe 1/2 an hour after beginning brewing. The tea holds up very well to later brews and is leaving a long-lingering aftertaste. Can't wait for the mail to arrive!
